3DP Fridays takes place two Fridays each month during the school year. These are fun nights for 4th-12th graders, in which students can learn about 3D printing and design.

These are workshops offered two Fridays a month for students to learn about 3D printing and design. Each month centers around a particular theme.

No, we have projects for first-timers, as well as more experienced students.

No, you can come once or come every month or come whenver it fits your schedule.

Yes, but the lessons and available projects will be the same.

We start with a short intro to 3D printing. Then students choose what they would like to create. There are usually 6-9 options. They use CAD software, following a guided tutorial, to design their custom project and then set it up on a 3D printer.

Beginning March 2025 3DP Fridays will meet in the Innovation Gallery, located in the Ethos Forum at Union University. Throughout the evening, we will also make use of the Business Analytics Center (computer lab) and the Maker’s Space.
