What is the Hub?

The HUB is a collection of innovative spaces that will enable students, faculty, and community members to design, collaborate, create and innovate. These spaces will feature state-of-the-art equipment to allow students to learn the skills they will need in an increasingly technological world.

The HUB will be located on the first floor of the new academic building currently under construction. The building will be the home for Business, Engineering and Computer Science at Union University.

Hub Overview

Explore the completed and ongoing projects of Union students, alumni, and faculty. Surrounded by innovation, students can brainstorm and collaborate on their own latest projects.

A 32-seat computer lab, including 2 Bloomberg terminals, puts technology at students’ fingertips as they work on projects, research or attend lectures or seminars.

The heart of the HUB, the Maker’s Space offers state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D printers, a laser cutter, a vinyl cutter, a CNC machine, soldering stations, and more.

With two entrepreneurship labs, students will have the opportunity to turn their business ideas into realities. The smaller lab, the Idea Incubator, offers space to brainstorm ideas. The larger lab provides an office area and storefront, so students can take their businesses to the next level.

With machines and tools for metal and woodworking, students can work on heavy-duty projects in this large open space.

This room welcomes students with the space and equipment they need to create professional quality videos to tell the stories of their creations.
